Hanna joined WCBD as a reporter in December 2019 covering breaking news stories including Presidential and Vice Presidential visits, Democratic Presidential Debates, the Coronavirus Pandemic and social unrest.
In November of 2020, she shifted gears as she was promoted to join the weekday morning team as Traffic Anchor and News 2 Midday Anchor. Hanna is thrilled to be gaining experience from a new perspective with a goal of continuing to find fresh ways of keeping Lowcountry residents engaged in their local communities.
Carolina News & Reporter

TV reporter, anchor, and producer for Carolina News & Reporter. Rotated through all newsroom positions during this comprehensive position. Assisted in the creation of two daily thirty-minute newscasts. Pitched stories, conducted interviews and edited "day turn" packages. Executed live shots with LiveU technology to report on breaking news. Covered stories on both personal and newsroom social media platforms.
Sarasota Magazine

Reporter for Sarasota Magazine responsible for 5-7 weekly online stories including developing concepts, interviewing, writing copy and obtaining visuals. Emphasis on lifestyle topics and local storylines. Assisted editors with research and fact-checking. Composed features for the print issues by conducting interviews and generating copy.
Marriott International Headquarters

Hired as a member of Marriott's summer internship program to gain comprehensive knowledge of their full range of business. Assigned to the Global Operations group responsible for integrating newly acquired Starwood Hotels into the Marriott family. Specific projects included compiling field research to determine barriers to new branding compliance, and development of internal communication products to help facilitate and simplify technical elements of the process.

Appointed to Executive Cabinet that serves as an advisory board to student body president and University leadership, as the Secretary of Athletics. Primary lead for "Harvest Hope" food drive challenge against rival Clemson. Orchestrated athlete involvement, including video/press interviews, for "Stigma-Free USC" Mental Health campaign.

Washington International Horse Show

Selected to serve year-long appointment as Youth Ambassador to help horse show management develop and implement community programs designed to target young people. Highlights included: WIHS Barn Night with highest attendance ever and Kid's Day, an interactive event that reached over 1,000 children.
Served as spokesperson in numerous press engagements including The Washington Post, NPR and FOX news. Selected to lobby Congress in support of the "Horses on the Hill" initiative that introduced legislation to ban horse slaughter in the U.S.
